The purpose of this booklet is to provide both statistical information about blindness, as well as to simulate what having different kinds of blindness would be like. Contrary to popular myth, blindness is not necessarily a complete lack of sight - for example, as shown above, glaucoma causes tunnel vision (which is categorized as blindness once visual acuity is low enough). These simulations are printed on vellum paper: the obscuring of text on the page provides a unique physical interaction.
I used data from the World Health Organization and PubMed articles. Through my research, I learned that blindness disproportionately affects minorities and underprivileged countries, as well as women.
CO2 Negative Emissions Tech Poster
The purpose of this poster is to show both the potential benefits and consequences of using negative emissions technologies (NETs) to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and to compare different kinds of NETs. I concluded that though they may be a helpful supplement, we must use them along with reducing emissions.
